Pennsylvania State Education Association
The Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA) of Carlow University provides the opportunity for education majors to further their own education outside of the classroom, while working towards improving education for school aged students through professional develpment workshops and community service.

Our Mission is to advance quality public education for all students, while fostering the dignity and worth of members through collective action. To uphold this mission, PSEA strives to:

  1. influence and improve the conditions of teacher preparation;
  2. provide for a unified student voice in matters affecting their education and profession;
  3. develop in the future educator an understanding of, and appreciation for, the education profession and the role of the professional education association;
  4. promote and protect human and civil rights of students;
  5. forward the aim of quality education; and
  6. stimulate the highest ideals of professional ethics, standards and attitudes.
Activities PSEA currently sponsors include Paxis study groups, fundraisers, school supply, book, and blood donation drives, group social activities, Read Across America, Teacher Excellence Center workshops, and annual state-wide conferences. Also, PSEA now provides liability insurance for all of its members, which is now required when student teaching.
