Social Work Student Association

The Social Work Student Association is a student-led organization that provides participants with opportunities to learn about the social work profession through information exchange and active involvement in various projects, both on campus and in the community. Monthly meetings might include a guest speaker from a human service agency, preparation of a project to provide Christmas gifts for residents in community shelters, or planning for the annual campus-wide Social Work Day.

Students have the chance to work with faculty members and practicing social work professionals to expand their awareness of important social work topics. Moreover, they gain experience organizing projects and activities that help people in the community.

Students who are interested in learning more about the Social Work Student Association should E-mail swa@carlow.edu.
